The city in which streets will be filled with masterpieces of classical art and sculpture, works of decorative and applied art, art of the second half of the 20th century, collectible design, vintage cars and contemporary art &#8211; 188 exhibitors in total.<\/p>\n<p>Salon is not just a cultural event; it is also an educational platform. As a part of the 46th Russian Antiques Salon, a special project dedicated to the history of still life will take place. It will cover the period from the Dutch Golden Age to the Russian Jack of Diamonds (Bubnovy Valet).<\/p>\n<p>Peshich Family Collection (Serbia) is inviting you to visit the 46th Russian Antiques Salon, which will be held in Moscow at <em>Gostiny Dvor<\/em> from 21 to 25 April 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Antiques and modern art will meet in <em>Gostiny Dvor<\/em>. The programme of Moscow Art \/ 46th Russian Antiques Salon popularises the Living together format, where a large-scale exposition covers all areas of art collections, erasing genre and time boundaries. Sections <em>Antiques<\/em>, <em>Contemporary Art\/Design, Jewellery Art<\/em> and new section &#8211; <em>Vintage cars<\/em>, will fill the space of the grand exhibition in Gostiny Dvor.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition concept, combining the classical and contemporary art, is not new. It is based on famous exhibitions such as TEFAF and BRAFA, where classical and contemporary met at the same place, one of the world trends that determine the direction of the art market\u00a0development.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian Art Salon is the leading antiques exhibition in Russia which stood at the origins of the domestic art market.<\/p>\n<p>The first Salon took place in 1996 at the Central House of Artists. Over time, the exhibition grew stronger gained reputation and importance. For 23 years, 7000 galleries and private art collectors took part in the event and more than 1.5 million people attended. Since 2019, the Russian Antiques Salon has changed its site and takes place in the very heart of Moscow, at <em>Gostiny Dvor<\/em> on Ilynka.<\/p>\n<p>Vladimir Peshich will present antique masterpieces at the exhibition <em>Women in art<\/em>. The exposition will follow the development of the female image from the middle of the 19th century to the present day.<\/p>\n<p>Time travel through the female image begins with the mid-19th century plaquette\u00a0<em>Venus and Cupid<\/em>\u00a0of the Sevres porcelain factory and bronze decorative panel from the 19th century. The portraits of Russian empresses by the artist Theophil Meyendorff will also be exhibited.<\/p>\n<p>Childhood is beautifully depicted in the painting Anni and Gusti. The artist Marie Rosenthal-Hatschek portrayed her daughters with warmth and love. Reproduction of this painting was printed on postcards in Austria and Russia, as well as in the German magazine The Gazebo (Die Gartenlaube). Artist Nikolai Petrovich Bogdanoff-Belsky\u2019s painting <em>Sisters<\/em> masterfully depict two Russian girls in the impressionistic style. The maiden image is presented in the work of Alexander Sokolov. The artist painted a portrait of his daughter Anna with tenderness and grace. The famous Russian artist Nikolai Kuznetsov painted the picture <em>Student<\/em> in 1927, when it was a privilege for a girl to study at the university. The paintings of Nikolai Kuznetsov <em>The Lady with Blue Eyes<\/em>, <em>The Girl with the Diamond Earring<\/em> and Ren\u00e9e Seilhean\u2019s <em>Portrait of a Young Woman <\/em>present the image of the female beauty. Painting <em>Beauty in a Folk Costume<\/em>, which attracts with its beauty and sexuality presents African art. The theme of a girl in a folk costume continues in a painting of Sergei Voroshilov <em>At the Watering Hole<\/em>. Katya in the painting <em>Striptease<\/em> poses for her husband Mikhail Romadin and reminds us of the popular saying <em>An Ideal Wife should be a man\u2019s best friend, housewife at home, inaccessible queen for friends and a mistress in bed.<\/em> Nikolai Terpsihorov depicted women\u2019s labor in paintings <em>Cotton Picking<\/em>, Stepan Kolesnikov in L<em>aundry washing <\/em>and Alexei Issupoff in <em>the Modiste<\/em>. In the style of cubism, the female image is presented in the painting <em>An Evening of Jazz <\/em>and in style of symbolism the painting <em>Moonlit Night<\/em>. The image of princess is depicted in style of futurism by the Hungarian artist Hugo Schreiber.
