„Antiques will coexist with contemporary art“

Kommersant FM columnist Dmitry Butkevich talks about exhibits, which will be presented in Gostiny Dvor, at the 46th Russian Antique Salon.

An interesting project will be presented at the Peshich Family Collection stand, by my oldest friend Vladimir, who is currently dealing with Russian art in his homeland, in Serbia.

Thematic exhibition — “Women’s Image in Art“. The exposition begins with the plaque “Venus and Cupid” of Sèvres Porcelain Factory, from the middle of the 19th century. The image of Eve is captured on a bronze decorative panel from the 19th century. Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky — master of children’s portraits. Also, artists like Alexander Sokolov, Nikolai Kuznetsov, Nikolai Terpsikhorov, Stepan Kolesnikov, Alexei Isupov and Mikhail Romadin with the painting “Striptease”, in which he portrayed a naked sleeping woman, will take part.
