“Art collector Vladimir Peshich exhibited paintings of famous Russian painters in Moscow”
The 46th Russian Antiques Exhibition was held at the elite exhibition hall Gostiny Dvor in the center of Moscow, only a few hundred meters away from Kremlin. Among exhibitors there was one art collector from Serbia. Vladimir Peshich from Belgrade, son of the well-known correspondent of the Politika newspaper Dushan Peshich, exhibited paintings of famous Russian painters.
His paintings were exhibited at the prestigious part of Gostiny Dvor, which only proves the fact that the organisers highly appreciate the Peshich family collection.
Vladimir Peshich moved to Moscow as a child, along with his father he met Soviet artists and visited famous museums. Vladimir Peshich lived in Moscow from 1983 to 1997 where he finished school and graduated from Faculty of Philology.
He went to school which was situated on the Arbat Street, where a long time ago famous Moscow painter Vasily Polenov painted a picture Moscow Courtyard.
At the time of Gorbachev’s Perestroyka, in 1988, the first auction of the famous Sotheby’s auction house was held in Moscow. After that event, Vladimir Peshich took great interest in art, although he was surrounded by paintings in his childhood home. Vladimir’s great-grandfather Andrija started creating the Peshich family collection.
Vladimir bought his first painting in Moscow in a commission store. And later, when he visited Sotheby’s auction of Russian paintings in London, in 1990, he started to search and buy valuable Russian paintings with even greater passion and love. In addition to paintings, he began collecting icons and unique antiques.
Art collector Vladimir Peshich is a member of the International Confederation of Collectors, Antiques and Art Dealers of Russia and former Soviet republics and of the Serbian Association of Antiques.

In the last three years, Vladimir Peshich took part in several prestigious antique salons and exhibitions in Moscow.

This time, in the prestigious Gostiny Dvor Peshich family collection exhibited paintings from the collection Women in art, the paintings from 19th century to the present day.
Interest in the Peshich family collection is constantly growing because Vladimir Peshich keeps expanding his collection with new paintings and icons.
Thanks to many years of life and work in Moscow, Peshich has established excellent business and friendly relations with experts who are able to distinguish original work from a skilfully made copy.
The authority that Vladimir Peshich has among lovers of Russian art certainly contributes to the reputation of Serbian art collectors outside the borders of Serbia.
