Charles H.D. Boland de Spa (Antwerp, 1850 – ?)
Was a Belgian painter specializing in animals, landscapes, genre scenes and portraits. He obtained his artistic education at the Academy of Antwerp, he participated in the Prize of Rome in 1878. He was one of the co-founders on 25th October, 1883 of the Antwerp association of visual artists Als ik Kan, of which Henry Van de Velde was also a member for a very short time. He exhibited at the triennial Exhibitions in Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels.
