PROVENANCE:
Grigory Ivanovich Samoilov (he was called Uncle Grisha), the younger brother of Evgeni Ivanovich Samoilov (he was called Uncle Zhenya), who lived in Riga. He visited his brother in Riga during Soviet times. He was a famous architect and one of the most famous foreigners in the old, and then the new Yugoslavia.
Grigory and Evgeni Samoilov had another brother, who was shot by the communists after the Revolution.
