Ivory is a precious material used for luxury goods. Since ancient times ivory items have been regarded as magical amulets which bring good luck. In India healers use ivory for body rejuvenation and recovery, and in China ivory is used in lithotherapy because it is thought to improve the aura. In many countries, ivory items were considered relics and were inherited within the family.
