Kokoszko Edward (b. August 24, 1900 in Izdebno Koscielny k. Grodzisk Mazowiecki, d. 1962 in Warsaw) –

Polish painter, a member of the Brotherhood of St. Luke orazSpółdzielni Artists LAD.
He was born in the village Izdebno Kościelne August 24, 1900, the son of Francis and Josepha of Włodarczyków [1]. He studied painting in the years 1917-1920 in the Municipal Drawing School in Warsaw with Milosz Kotarbinski and John Kauzik, a private school 1921-1922 Konrad Krzyzanowski, 1926 at the School of Fine Arts at Tadeusz Pruszkowski. He also studied with Władysław Skoczylasa graphics. After graduation, he went to three years in France.
He joined the Society of St. Luke and participated in exhibitions of the Brotherhood.
In 1929 he began teaching at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (later the Academy of Fine Arts), in the years 1935-1938 was published in the monthly “tuck”.
Mainly practiced portrait painting. Designed stained glass and murals for churches. Together with Jan Zamoyski created a frieze at the Polish Academy of Sciences and the ceiling in the children’s theater in the Palace of Culture and Science.
