Painting was purchased in 2006 from Viktor Vasilievich Popov.
Viktor Vasilievich Popov (1932 – 2008) – Doctor of Medicine. Chairman of the “Balto-Slavic Society” from 1989 to 1996. Publisher of the newspaper „Church and The World“.

By order of Emperor Nicholas II, the artist A. S. Hrenov completed a series of watercolors with scenes of the royal hunt. The collector of his works was the Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich.
