ERMILOVA – PLATOVA EFROSINYA FEDOSEEVNA (1895–1974)

Efrosinya Ermilova – Platova spent her childhood and adolescence in Crimea and these impressions were reflected in her paintings. Bright, rich colors, amplitude and freedom of sight, sharpness, freshness and sincerity of feelings, graceful plasticity and colorful scope, even the use of the angle from above, as if from mountains, all that is from there, from Crimea, and from her teachers Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon, studied from 1914 to 1916 and Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov, studied from 1917 to 1918.
Since 1911 she has participated in exhibitions. In 1919 she worked as a theatre artist together with Alexandra Aleksandrovna Exter.
The paintings by Efrosinya Ermilova – Platova are exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), the Sate Russian Museum (Saint Petersburg), the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I. V. Savitsky (Nukus) and others.
